Ms Gina Bearden is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetic Educator. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the National  Board of Certified Diabetic Educators. She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters degree from Vanderbilt University. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. Prior to her Nurse Practitioner degree, she was a RN in the Intensive Care Unit at Vanderbilt University Center.

She has been practicing in Endocrinology since 2011, and has developed a passion for this specialty as she has several family members with Endocrine conditions.

She is married and in her spare time enjoys various activities with her 3 children. She enjoys cycling, hiking in the Smoky Mountains, white water rafting, and any other outdoor activity.
